What is Te Tiaki Mahinga Kai? Te Tiaki Mahinga Kai is a national network of tangata kaitiaki/tiaki, kaumātua, environmental mangers, and researchers formed to improve management of mātaitai, taiāpure, and Temporary Closures throughout Aotearoa. These are special areas and devices (Area Management Tools) set aside to sustain customary fishing. |
