Te Tiaki Mahinga Kai publications

All reports and Fact Sheets produced by the Te Tiaki Mahinga Kai team are available for downloading from this page.

The kaitiaki, fisheries managers and researchers participating in Te Tiaki Mahinga Kai  produce formal publications of four main types:

  • Kai Kōrero - our project's magazine. Download these here ... and register to receive copies by mail or Email here ...

  • Te Puna Kōrero - Fact Sheets

  • Te Kōhinga Rangahau - Research Reports

  • Journal articles  published in New Zealand and overseas for scientists, social scientists, managers, planners, legal experts etc.

All these publications may be used and cited by anyone with due acknowledgement to the authors and the Tiaki Mahinga Kai Forum that is directing the overall project.

Te Puna Kōrero

Te Puna Kōrero means "The well of knowledge".  We have designed this for educational purposes.  They are 'quick dips' into current knowledge from previous research, or the latest findings from our own kaitiaki and researchers.

Te Kōhinga Rangahau

Te Kōhinga Rangahau means "The gathering together of research findings". Each report has been peer reviewed by two members of the Te Tiaki Mahinga Kai research providers from another institute than those authoring it.
